About our Teachers

Khenpo Gyurme Lodro Gyatso, widely known in the world of Tibetan Studies as Khenpo Yeshi, was born in Tibet and trained under the esteemed Nyingma Lama Lungtog Nyima in the Longchen Nyingthig tradition. As a young adult, he undertook a perilous journey over the Himalayas to Nepal, where he completed a three-year retreat under the revered Dzogchen master Tulku Ugyen. Following this, he expanded his studies at various Tibetan monasteries of the Geluk and Sakya traditions in India.

In 2003, Khenpo Gyurme Lodro Gyatso encountered Adzom Paylo Rinpoche at Ogyen Dorje Den, where he received Semtri teachings. During their conversation, Rinpoche recognized him as a past student and bestowed upon him the name Gyurme Lodro Gyatso. This revelation deepened his connection with Rinpoche’s lineage, leading to further study and collaboration.

Khenpo Gyurme Lodro Gyatso is deeply devoted to the teachings of Jigme Lingpa, particularly the Ground, Path, and Fruition Prayer, which he passionately shares with students. Fluent in English, he continues to teach and transmit the wisdom of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition to a global audience, fostering a heartfelt connection to Dzogchen.
