On the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 7:00 to 9:00pm, Anne C. Klein and Harvey B. Aronson, Dawn Mountain’s co-founders and guiding teachers, lead meditations and lecture on different aspects of Buddhist practice. These sessions are grouped in series according to theme, but each two-hour session is also designed to stand alone. Dawn Mountain members receive these teachings for free, others pay a nominal fee to attend. Like most of DM’s activities, Teaching Tuesdays are live-streamed and archived, so if you miss a class you can catch up online at your convenience.

WISDOM THROUGH LOVE AND COMPASSION: Lonchenpa’s Path to Buddha Mind
January 17 – May 2, 2017 in person or online, 7:00 – 9:00pm CST
We often hear that the essence of compassion is wisdom. Longchenpa demonstrates how boundless qualities associated with love and compassion naturally flow into a much larger, more expansive view, freeing us from contraction into a divided world of self and other. In this course we will clarify how we habitually bind ourselves, and how we can learn to free our selves from these ordinary constraints. We will draw from Longchenpa’s Now that I Come to Die, and Nagarjuna’s, In Praise of the Dharmadhatu.
